Week 6: Collographs

Collography is a printmaking process in which the materials (ie. Inks, paints) are applied onto a rigid base (ie. cardboard, wood).

PROCESS IS AS FOLLOWS:
  1. Ink the rigid base with a roller or paintbrush.
  2. The ink or pigment is applied to the resulting collage.
  3. Placing down a piece of paper, rub it firmly by either hand or using a printing press. 
  4. Once dry, work into the collograph you have made. 
MAKING THE PLATE?
Substances such as leaves, sandpapers, string or grasses can be used to help you make a plate.
